With over 30 years’ experience in the testing, assessment and certification of Fire Resisting elements, Chris has an in-depth knowledge of the performance of building elements when subject to elevated temperatures and the requirements necessary to ensure correct performance.
Over the last few years Chris led the development of a brand-new, state-of-the-art fire test facility for UL in Germany; from farmer’s field to operational, busy laboratory
Chris has most recently been involved at most levels of the certification process for Fire Resisting elements in The UK, Europe and Internationally. Chris has been instrumental in developing UL’s business for fire safety in Europe and was, until recently, Head of UL’s European Notified Body for fire protection and detection materials.
He is currently Director of UL’s Built Environment business for Europe, Middle East & Africa.
Chris is also Chairman of the ASFP, the UK based trade association overseeing built-in passive fire protection. (to be elected end of April 2021 so I think this will be true by presentation time)
