Bushfire smoke resilience, tenability, and the unspoken gap in Specification 43

Specification 43 attempts to address life safety during bushfire events but not prolonged bushfire smoke exposure. This study presents hospital trial evidence showing Equivalent Clean Air can maintain tenability under extreme smoke conditions, achieving a ~1000-fold particle reduction compared to high grade hospital filtration. The findings suggest a clear pathway for fire engineers to improve tenability.
