Both structural fire safety and bushfire safety need to be carefully considered when we construct new buildings, but are they the same thing or are they different and where are the overlaps?
In this session we will explore the development and application of both bushfire safety measures and structural fire safety measures. We will examine where they fit into the planning, construction and certification phases of new development. We will look at the similarities, differences and potential overlaps between the two disciplines. Using case study examples, we will think about how and when fire engineers and bushfire consultants can work together to achieve optimum fire safety outcomes.
