of Fire Australia
The Fire Australia Conference and Tradeshow has had a long-standing history of advocating positive change for the fire protection and safety industry in Australia.
The first Australian National Conference on Fire was held on 23-26 August 1965, in Melbourne. Presented by The Australian Fire Protection Association, now known as Fire Protection Association Australia (FPA Australia), the conference was chaired by Harry W. Marryatt and included panel sessions, industry and regulatory updates, and key fire protection presentations across a range of topics.
Fire Australia has evolved over the years and now attracts 2000+ attendees, providing access to key professional development, networking opportunities, the ability to learn from key fire protection and safety industry experts and connect with over 80+ local and international Tradeshow exhibitors, showcasing hundreds of industry leading products and services.
Fire Protection Association Australia (FPA Australia) is the national peak body for fire safety that provides information, services and education to the fire protection industry and the community. FPA Australia is a not-forprofit organisation that supports and represents accredited and competent practitioners working across all disciplines of the fire protection, building and construction industry.
Association members include manufacturers and suppliers of fire protection products and services, firefighters, building owners, insurers, designers and building surveyors, government and legislators, educators, bushfire consultants and anyone else working as part of the fire protection community to provide a safer environment for all Australians.
It is the association’s mission to continually develop the industry across all aspects of fire protection and reinvest into the sector to achieve improved safety outcomes.
The Association is supported by approximately 1,700 members consisting of leading companies, organisations and individuals around Australia with a growing reach of up to 30,000 people operating across every aspect of the fire protection, building and construction industry.
