Will Porteous

General Manager, Firewize

Will Porteous is the General Manager of Firewize, a Melbourne-based business specialising in innovative fire safety design, installation, and maintenance. With more than a decade of diverse industry experience, Will is highly regarded for his technical expertise across fire detection, automatic sprinkler systems, fire system maintenance and the wider built environment. He is sought after for his practical insight and ability to deliver compliant fire safety maintenance and projects.

Anthony Lada

State Manager, Wormald

Anthony Lada is a highly respected fire protection professional with over 41 years of industry experience, commencing his career in 1984 as Tasmania’s first apprentice sprinkler fitter. Completing his apprenticeship in 1987, where he was recognised as Apprentice of the Year across VIC, SA, WA and TAS, Anthony has built an extensive career spanning technical delivery, project management and executive leadership.

Anthony currently serves as State Manager for Wormald (2026–present), having previously held senior leadership roles including State Manager at Chubb Fire & Security and General Manager at Parmic Fire Protection. Throughout his career, he has overseen large-scale fire sprinkler installations, suppression system projects, compliance implementation and state-wide service operations.

A licensed CBOS Building Accredited Fire Protection Builder (Open), Anthony holds a Diploma in Management, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and Certificate III in Asset Maintenance (Fire Protection Equipment). He has been deeply involved in industry governance and standards development, serving on multiple Fire Protection Association Australia (FPA Australia) technical committees, contributing to the implementation of AS1851-2012, and representing industry on permit and compliance panels. He currently serves as Deputy Chair of the FPA Australia Tasmania STMG Committee and remains an active contributor to technical advisory groups and Fire Protection Month initiatives.

Anthony is widely regarded for his technical expertise, leadership, and longstanding commitment to advancing fire protection standards across Tasmania and Australia.
