This session will provide insights on the results from the fire protection permit holder survey, outline the transition to a national EPA, and provide a policy update on ozone depleting substances and synthetic greenhouse gases. We’ll explore import and emissions data and highlight current training initiatives to support industry.

Henry has worked with the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water for four years in the Air Quality Emissions Standards team. He has contributed to strengthening data reporting processes to support informed decision‑making and works closely with co‑regulators, including the Fire Protection Industry (ODS & SGG) Board. With a strong interest in data and environmental protection, Henry is focused on sharing industry feedback and supporting collaborative efforts to reduce emissions during the phase-down of HFCs.

Luke is a Senior Project Officer at the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, in the team regulating ozone-depleting and synthetic greenhouse gases.

He enjoys using data to improve decision-making and working closely with stakeholders within the fire protection industry to reduce regulatory burden and drive better environmental outcomes. Luke also supports initiatives that promote technician training in emerging technologies to help the sector adapt sustainably.
