Fiona Perrin is not your ordinary Senior Risk Engineer with Zurich Resilience Solutions. With a diverse background and a passion for making a difference, Fiona brings a unique blend of expertise to her risk-based role.

Starting her career in health and safety, Fiona quickly discovered her fascination with all things fire relates. She expanded her knowledge obtaining a First-Class Honors degree in Fire Engineering in Scotland. With over 10 years’ experience in fire safety and management, Fiona has worked in Australia, the UK, and on numerous international projects.

Before joining Zurich in May 2024, Fiona’s career took her on an incredible journey. She spent 12 years at the BBC, where she worked on everything from handling pyrotechnics on television shows, writing emergency procedures for large music festivals, and to undertaking fire risk assessments to over 100 international offices. Fiona also gained valuable experience in heritage buildings, local government, construction, housing, healthcare, and the arts.

Now, at Zurich, Fiona combines her diverse skillset to help clients holistically manage their risks. Working across both Property (Fire) and Workers Compensation lines of business, she embraces the variety her role brings. Fiona is currently a Board Director with the Institute of Fire Engineers, Australia Branch and is passionate about supporting women in the industry.
