Assoc. Prof. David Lange

University of Queensland

David Lange is an Associate Professor at The University of Queensland where he leads the fire safety engineering research group in The School of Civil Engineering.

His research interests span a wide range of topics in the field of fire safety engineering including risk-based design methodologies, education and the professional, timber, facades in fire, battery fires, compartment fire dynamics and the resilience of communities and infrastructure to fire and other natural hazards. Originally from Edinburgh, he spent six years in Sweden before moving to Australia in 2018.

David Lange is chartered Fellow of Engineers Australia and a Registered Professional Engineer in Queensland.
