The Australian Fire Protection Association Ltd [AFPA] was inaugurated in 1960, with a Board of eight [8] Representative Members from:

Commonwealth Fire Board,
Fire Industry,
Insurance Industry, and
Fire Services.

Mr. Harry Marryatt was appointed as the augural Chairman

Mr. Albert Ernie Cambell was appointed as Secretary in the new Offices 479 Collins Street, Melbourne.

Conducted annual conferences Speakers from Fire Industry & related people safety Industries as it does today.
